foster families attended a camp for families raising orphans
In summer ICHC continues to help needy and poor families of Izhevsk. As usually, twice a week, we have reception days when people come to ask for help and receive assistance. In June 28 needy families of Izhevsk received help with food, clothes, shoes, baby formula, diapers, etc. Among those people there were families raising many kids, single moms, people in crisis and difficult life situation. When we accept those people, we feel it is a good opportunity to tell them about God. To say how much He loves them, how much He wants them to be saved, how different their life can be if they come to Christ. Some of the people, in spite of all the difficulties they face, don’t want to hear about God, some of them are more loyal and tend to agree. But anyways, each time we give people food and clothes, we say it is from brothers and sisters in Christ – people who love God and donate for Christ’s sake, for His glory.
Here are some pictures of the camp for Foster Families we had on June, 2-3. Though the weather was not good, it was rather cold, we still had a good time together. Psychologists worked with mothers and fathers, volunteers helped with adopted children.
9 foster parents,
11 (should have been 14, but could come because they were in other camps) adopted kids,
2 psychologists,
6 volunteers
took part in this camp.
We organized many different activities for foster families: games to get them closer to each other, sports, psychological training for parents, some individual counseling, banya, worship service on Sunday morning.
We praise God for this time together and thank everyone who prayed for us. We hope this ministry helps foster parents and adopted kids get to know each other better, become closer and build healthy relationships.
We thank everyone who supports us in our ministry!
May God bless you!
