The International Center for Hope continues its work with the needy families and the orphanages of Izhevsk and the Udmurt Republic. On a daily basis, the work is rich in events.
The staff visited the orphanage in the village of Yak-Bodya and brought with them the theatre group, "Pritcha". The group performed for the children which proved to be a wonderful event for them.we also took clothes from our "Clothes Closet" in Izhevsk at ICH, and toys and books. Each child was so exited as were the directors and teachers.
We also have helped several orphanages and boarding schools of Udmurtia. These schools are the internoit schools that we mention monthly. We want to reach as many children and adults that we can. Through the gifts we receive from our supporters, we are able to expand our borders.
We continue to work in our second office in Russia, "ICH of Vodkinsk". Our branch office in Vodkinsk works at sorting things and clothes and sending them to the orphanages and internoit schools in the Vodkinsk area and the Northern area of Udmurtia. Our staff in Vodkinsk continues to work with the needy families and many received assistance of clothes and food supplies. We realize that many would go hungry or without warm clothing if it were not our supporters and our volunteers and staff.
The second session with the psychologists took place in Vodkinsk, which involved the workers and the assistants of the branch office.
During April 15-28th, the charitable action, "HELP THE CHILD", was held in the city of Izhevsk. The public response was overwhelming. We received many donations of clothes, books, writing materials, toys for the orphanages for the small children in Izhevsk, from institutions in Izhevsk. This is a major break through!!! Helping others is part of our teachings and now after 61/2 years, we are seeing a major change in people in and around our work in Izhevsk. ICH also participated in the action of "HELP THE CHILD."Our psychologists are still working with the groups of co-addicted people and their children. Our meetings with the children fron internoit school #2 are still being conducted weekly. We have 2 meetings weekly. These scheduled classes of SS classes have proven to be a great venture. The children are changing in front of our eyes.
Preparations for the annual "DAY OF KINDNESS" are underway, as are our summer camp preparations for the orphans. The children really look forward to these events and we do too.
11 needy families of Izhevsk received assistance with food and clothing.
