33 poor families got help

2 group meetings for foster moms and adopted kids

August is the time of returning from vacation and getting back to work. So did we in the beginning of the month. ICHC restarted to accept needy people – in August&July we helped 33 poor families that were in crisis of difficult life situation. Due to the fact that new school year is coming, many families received school supplies for their children too. Each family that comes to ICHC for help has a chance to hear about God and His love for people. For us, accepting needy is a great opportunity to give our testimony of God’s mercy to those who don’t know Him yet.

Also ICHC helped a family that raises a sick child (a girl named Lisa who has hypoplasia of the thumb on her right hand) go to the city of Saint-Petersburg for the treatment that was recommended to her by the doctors. The treatment was provided to the girl by the State for free, but the family is rather poor and they couldn’t find money to buy train tickets. So ICHC paid for the tickets to the clinic and back for the girl and her mom, plus we paid for the mom’s dwelling in the clinic during the treatment to provide the child’s care.

In August we continue to help Foster parents. We organized 2 group meetings – for 8 foster moms and for 6 adopted kids. With the help of Christian psychologists, children and parents learn how to understand and interact with each other better, can make diagnostic of their emotional condition, get Christian counseling sessions and learn God’s point of view to many problems of parenting an adopted kid and God’s paths to fix those problems.

Please pray for our ministry. We begin to prepare for future Christmas performances – we have a vision that this year it should be something very different from what we had before and very exciting for many orphans and children from poor families of Izhevsk.

Thank you for your donations and contributions! You are a living part of our ministry!
