The International Center for Hope & Charity

December 2008

Back
The Christmas performance was presented on December 28th in one of the halls of The City of Izhevsk and on January 3rd in the city of Votkinsk.  In attendance were more than 1200 orphans from 23 orphanages and asylums from the Udmurt Republic and members of families that are considered the "poorest" of the poor from both Izhevsk and Votkinsk.  The music, the theme, the acoustic backing and the play, "A True Story About Seven Ideas," were developed entirely for this performance by the volunteers of 'The International Center for Hope.'  Every child in attendance received a gift from ICH.

During the month of December, 20 needy families received help with food and clothes from ICH's "The Food Pantry" and "The Clothes Closet."

The support groups, 'Co-Addicted Women' and 'Graduates of Orphanages' and 'Orphans from Internoit Schools and Asylums' were held weekly. 'The Club for Mothers of Disabled Children' and "The Club for Foster Parents' continued to meet and operate as usual.
