The International Center for Hope & Charity

February 2009

Back
The International Center for Hope has started a new one-day shelter for disabled children.  The shelter is a weekly program where kids and the social workers interact with each other through games, hand-made gifts for their moms, Bible stories for children, sing songs and just have fun together.  This allows the moms to have some free time to run errands while the shelter is open.  The children decorated photo frames and prepared small gifts for their moms for the celebration of Women's Day.  The social workers helped the children with this project.  The children have been preparing a puppet show during the month of February.  The show will have songs and poems for the moms. When the puppet show was shown, the moms were so surprised and happy for it touched their hearts.

The Group Work for The Mothers of Disabled Children is led by our psychologist on a weekly basis, also.

The Group Work for Co-Addicted Women and the training for volunteers that work in The City Asylum continues to meet at ICH, also.  Once a month, ICH holds a meeting-consultation for those who would like to adopt a child.  This is The Club-These Children are not Somebody Else' Children.

The Branch Office in Votkinsk organized the meetings for needy families in The Club Family Hearth and Home.  Tea was served; culture and entertaining program was presented; a film was shown and conversation with the psychologist concerning family life.  The volunteers of the branch office in Votkinsk continue to visit the orphanage in Votkinsk in order to help with the children and to play with them.  The children really love for them to come.

25 needy families received assistance with food and clothes.
