Dear friends! Difficult times have come for all of us, but we understand that now, more than ever, we can and must help each other. We believe that the Lord has not changed and we hope His mercy still reigns over the earth. Let us give thanks in knowing that we are not first one nationality or another, but first and foremost we are Christians.

Therefore, ICHC continues to help the family in a difficult life situation.

In this newsletter, we'll tell you how our work went in February, March and April 2022.
___________

HELPING HAND PROJECT

•    66 families in difficult life situations received charity assistance at ICHC in February, March and April: they received
- assistance with basic food
- hygiene and household items
- essential medicines for children
- diapers for babies

Each time needy people come over to ICHC office longing for help is an opportunity to share God’s love and mercy with them. Each family is told that the goods they receive are provided by Christians from all over the world whose hearts have become compassionate enough to share not only spiritual food, but earthly food with them as well. So they know that God’s mercy has reached them!

We are so grateful to those of you who support this branch of our work. Thank you!

FOSTER PARENTS CLUB “These children are not somebody else’s children”

•    Within the framework of the Foster Parents Club the following activities took place:
-    a meeting with a Christian psychologist for adoptive parents;
-    individual counseling sessions of our psychologist for foster children, foster parents;
-    organized family trip to a recreation center outside the city of Izhevsk for foster families and adopted kids: this time 10 families where 14 adopted children are being brought up, attended the event.

With the help of psychologists and volunteers of our center, big meetings for parents and children, conversations, and discussions as well as a sort of Sunday service were held during the trip. Also, exercises with elements of body-oriented therapy and communication games were used during the meetings. What else? Of course, we could not help but walking in the fresh air in the pine forest, and we had tasty dinners and snacks and a lot of parent-children interaction! That is what really matters in such trips. Thanks to all who participated and helped in organization!

LET US BE MERCIFUL PROJECT

The project "Let's be more merciful" continues to work at ICHC – this work implies fundraising and targeted assistance for treatment, rehabilitation, purchase of rehabilitation equipment, payment of medical services for children with disabilities.

-    for a girl with special abilities travel to the place of treatment in Moscow was paid;
-    a verticalizer (standing frame) was purchased for another girl with disabilities (with the help of funds donated by caring people in Russia and abroad);
-    for a disabled boy from Izhevsk, treatment was paid at an eye clinic in the city of Ufa;
-    expensive medicines were purchased for another boy with special needs;

CHRISTMAS PROJECT

In addition to these projects, the volunteer team of ICHC began preparations for the next Christmas project. The performance will take place in early January 2023, but this large-scale project requires the involvement of a large number of people and long preparation - which we are starting now!
