14 families where handicapped children are brought up received help
Dear friends! Long time no see! Haven’t talked to you for a while. The fall began in Izhevsk, as everywhere, and with it the usual school issues for many of us.
Today we would like to tell you about ICHC work in June, July and August 2023.
Usually, in the warm season, we note this trend: the number of people who come to ICHC office for help in kind decreases slightly, but instead increases the number of families where children with special needs are brought up, as this is the time when parents needing help plan treatment and rehabilitation for their children and look for funds to pay for expensive procedures. Summer was no exception.
For the HELPING HAND project
23 families received help in kind – that is in the form of food kits, personal hygiene products and household items, baby diapers, baby food, vitamins for children and adults.
Under the LET'S BE MERCIFUL project, ICHC helped 14 families with handicapped children:
- Varya received support in reimbursement of the cost of expensive medical procedures, including MRI;
- Misha and Renat were helped in paying for classes on the correction of childhood behavior and skills development at the ABA therapy center "Tangle";
- Artyom and Fedor received help in paying for adaptive physical education;
- Vladislav and Trofim - in payment for botulin therapy;
- Amir - in payment for expensive rehabilitation in St. Petersburg;
- Misha - in payment for classes on the correction of childhood behavior;
- Amelia, Katya, Eva and Zhenya - in payment for the rehabilitation course;
- Sofia - in payment for courses of manual therapy.
We’re glad we could help all those kids and pray for their health improvement! Would you please join us in prayer for them!
According to the CHRISTMAS project, preparatory work took place in the summer: the script for the future charity Christmas performance was written, the actors were selected for key roles, the first readings of the script took place. We really hope that the performance will take place as planned and appeal to young viewers so they can be drawn closer to God’s love and mercy! Please pray for His presence for all the participants and viewers, as well as for the good fruit of our Christmas ministry!
We have some feedback on ICHC work – here are two messages from two handicapped girls’ moms and their gratitude for help:
Tatiana, mother of Amira, says: Thanks so much to the ICHC foundation and the foundation staff for helping pay for my daughter Amira's rehabilitation using a unique spinal cord stimulation system. The device, which is used for stimulation, awakens motor neurons that are in a "sleeping" state. It is impossible by simple exercises to awaken the motor neurons, and in the complex it is possible. While the child is small, we need to have such stimulations 3-4 times a year so that the effect is 100%. Thank you for this opportunity!"
Katya, who received help in paying rehabilitation sessions. Katya's mom says: "Thanks so very much to your wonderful center of Hope! You've helped us a lot!"
