We work to help those who are hopeless.
People who need help are waiting for someone to assist.
You can get psychological help through the work of mutual- and self-support groups.
31 needy families received food and clothes at ICHC
13 families received expanded food set
9 poor families got assisted with household and hygiene items
9 adoptive parents attended the support group
We go on keeping you updated about our work at ICHC in March.
One of the branches of our work now is the ministry for foster parents and their adopted kids. Monthly we hold classes for them guided by our psychologists. We had one at the end of March, and the subject of it was "Trauma of adopted kids". Parents who attended learnt new ways and methods of working with the consequences of trauma that are available for them to help their kids. Also they completed some practical exercises targeted at helping them find their resources to overcome burnout and difficulties in dealing with their kids.
Some parents received individual psychological counseling.
We are so grateful for this branch of ministry! As we can see how important such classes are for moms and dads who lost hope while parenting and desperately want to learn how to do it better! Praise God He has all the answers!
Besides that, we go on having reception days twice a week - these are the days when we accept needy people and help them with food, clothes, household and hygiene items, diapers for babies.
In March 31 poor families received food sets, among them 13 families got an enlarged food set (containing bigger amount of items of food), 9 families got basic household and hygiene items, 4 single moms got diapers for their babies.
That's what we do weekly on a regular basis, but what we always do too is we talk to these people, find out their life situation, try to help them if they need a piece of advice. We try to encourage them in their hard situation and we always say that all the assistance they get is only possible thanks to many Christians who donated, supported and prayed.
Within another branch of our work, in March we bought some medicine for a girl having cancer whose parents can't afford to buy it. We'd like to help sick kids in Izhevsk as much as we can.
Also we help women in difficult life situation - weekly we hold support groups for them where they can find answers to their questions, get some knowledge from the Bible and share their personal experience.
We're thankful to everyone who supports us in our ministry! We couldn't have done it without you! May God bless you and keep you in peace!
We ask everyone who cares to help our children. Even a small amount of money can get it better.
