At the end of the month we’re ready to tell you how the work of ICHC has been going on in November.

ICHC continues to get ready for the upcoming Christmas charitable project for orphans and children of poor families of Izhevsk - the project is going to take place on January 8th. We’ve already bought all the candy, 15 orphanages from all over Udmurt Republic applied for participation, the volunteers are about to pack the presents, the ICHC theatre group has started rehearsing for the play.

Not only are the orphans going to come to see the play and hear the Christmas story, but this time, helped by their teachers, they are preparing art&craft works on Christmas subject that are going to be set up at the Exhibition of children’s works at the hall of the Palace right on the day of performances.

We’re also inviting the poor families of Izhevsk to come and see the performance. The Invitation letters are ready to send out, so the children can get the sweet gifts carefully packed by ICHC volunteers right after the performance and the entertaining program around the Christmas tree.

Besides, ICHC keeps on supporting families of Izhevsk in difficult life situations. In November we assisted 32 poor families with food sets, hygiene and household items, school supplies and diapers for babies.

Moreover, this month we helped one of the sick boys we’ve been taking care of for a while already - we call this 9-year-old “a chrystal boy” as his bones are fragile and can be easily broken. This boy needs regular rehabilitation in a Moscow hospital which is of no charge for the boy’s family, but they have to go there by themselves. So ICHC bought tickets for the boy and his mom as they couldn’t afford it.

Also, we assisted a talented handicapped young girl to assure her participation in the Music Festival for young talents with disabilities in Moscow. The girl is blind but sings so well that even local TV paid attention to her. Her mom asked ICHC for help and we gladly agreed.

And of course we continue to help foster parents and their adopted kids in the framework of Foster parents Club called “These children aren’t somebody else’s children”. In November our Christian psychologists organized a meet up for teenagers where they discussed the self esteem issues teens tend to have and the way God looks at them. Plus, they organized a master class for adopted girls to learn to make Christmas headbands on their own. The results exceeded everybody’s expectations!

On the very last day of November we’re having a training for adoptive mothers called “Two generations”. Our psychologists are going to teach about the importance of interaction between parents and kids and how to find healthy ways to treat the kids, based on Christian principles. We hope this meeting helps women look at themselves with their children’s eyes and understand more profoundly how to raise a child in a genuine love.

Would you please pray for all of our projects and ministries as we need God’s guidance and mercy throughout our work.

We thank all who make their contribution to our ministry! Thanks for your constant support! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

May the Lord bless you!
