ICHC NEWS in November 2021

Winter has come to Izhevsk - a little earlier than expected, but it’s a beautiful season here in Russia anyway.
So it’s time for us to tell you about ICHC work and ministry in November 2021.

In November 18 families in difficult life situation came to ask ICHC for help.
16 families with children received basic food,
17 families got household & hygiene items,
7 families received sets of essential medicine and remedies for kids,
5 families with babies received big sets of diapers.

This branch of our work seems essential for families in need to overcome a hard situation.

In the framework of our “Let’s be merciful” project ICHC help families raising a handicapped child. In November we provided assistance to two such families: the first one is a single mom and her son Kirill who has a tumor in his hypophysis and needed an expensive medical procedure which wasn’t covered by his medical insurance. ICHC paid for it. We really hope the boy gets better soon!

Another family is the one where little Vera is being raised. Vera has difficulty learning to walk on her own so she needs special equipment called removable leg braces for her legs to be fixed - thus she can learn to walk holding her legs in a correct position. ICHC paid for the braces and we ask you to pray with us for this little girl - always smiling, very patient and grateful!

Our Foster parents Club is still working at the office. At the end of November six adoptive moms gathered together to celebrate Mother’s Day and also share some news with each other! We’re thankful to each one of them as we know they come through quite a hard experience raising their adopted kids - orphans in the nearest past - and they try to heal wounded children’s hearts with God’s unconditional love. But that is not easy!
Would you please pray for these families so God can show His miracles through and in them.

And meanwhile, Christmas is coming! So are our charitable Christmas performances that are supposed to take place at the beginning of January, on Russian orthodox Christmas.

We’re getting ready for it now. Volunteers come to the office every single day to pack and form the sweet gifts; the creativity group consisted of volunteers of local church and guided by Uri Chubukov have rehearsals twice or three times a week; costumes are being made now. That is a huge work where everyone has his own part! It’s like a whole body working and moving - we need each other!

________________
We’re so grateful to God for everyone who supports our ministry - financially, in prayer and with their personal efforts! Thank you so very much! We couldn’t have done and we can’t do anything without you!

Would you please pray for the next month of preparations for the upcoming Christmas performances. 1500 orphans and children from needy families of Udmurtia are going to get sweet Christmas gifts! 1500 kids and their parents are going to learn the message of the birth of Christ! We want to bring Christmas to every single heart and mind! We want it to be a real and beloved holiday for the people of Izhevsk!

Love and blessings,
Galina Alieva
