ICHC NEWS in September, 2022

Dear friends! It’s the end of September and this means we are ready to tell you about the work and ministry in ICHC, Izhevsk.

First of all, we would like to say: we are very worried and grieve together with all the victims in Izhevsk on September 26, 2022. Strength and consolation be with you!

The main regular project of our center is "Helping Hand": its goal is to support the family in a difficult life situation. We are ready to help such families with basic food, hygiene and household items, diapers for children and other things according to needy people’s needs.

In September, 36 families, including 11 refugee families, received this kind of assistance.

At the end of the month, the long-awaited meeting of Foster Parents Club for guardians and adoptive parents took place. For the Club members, such meetings are, first of all, an opportunity to speak out, to talk through the accumulated emotions, to give a way out to their feelings, knowing that they will be expressed in a safe environment, will meet support and understanding. And also this is an opportunity to ask questions, talk about relevant issues and get the opinion of a qualified specialist or the point of view of an experienced mother who herself has already gone through a similar situation, in response. Each meeting of the Club takes place under the guidance of a psychologist.

We thank all the participants for their trust towards us, and we hope that mutual support helps you move forward on the path of raising your adopted child.

According to our plan, in early January 2023, a charity Christmas performance with gifts for orphans and children from low-income families of Udmurtia should take place. Preparations for the project have already begun: the script has been approved, the actors have been selected, rehearsals are held regularly. Now we are starting to sew costumes, and we are also negotiating and are already starting to buy school supplies and sweets for the future Christmas gift. We really want to make it as useful and enjoyable as possible for children.

We thank everyone who supports our charitable projects and takes a feasible financial and personal part in them. Hardships, financial and otherwise, continue to mount on the average man, woman and child in Russia. Yet we remain steadfast in our mission to spread the Good News and support the needs of those struggling. In spite of our hard times, and due to them, we are all so grateful for your unwavering support! Thank you! May the Lord give you health, strength and peace!
