8 needy families received help with food
4 families with handicapped children received support
ICHC continues helping families in a difficult life situation.
The main regular project of our center is HELPING HAND project: its goal is to support families in a difficult life situation. We are ready to help such families with basic food, hygiene and household items, diapers for children.
In September, 8 families of Izhevsk and Zavyalovsky district received such assistance.
At the end of the month, the long-awaited meeting of the Club for guardians and foster parents took place at ICHC as part of the FUTURE BEGINS TODAY project. For the Club members, such meetings are, first of all, an opportunity to speak out, to talk through the accumulated emotions, to give a way out to their feelings, knowing that they will be expressed in a safe environment and will meet support and understanding. And also this is an opportunity to ask uncomfortable questions and get in response the opinion of a qualified specialist or the point of view of an experienced mother who has already gone through a similar situation. Each meeting of the Club takes place under the guidance of a Christian psychologist. We want to build our communication on biblical basis and teach women according to the Bible. We thank all the participants for their trust and hope that mutual support helps them move forward on the path of raising their adopted children.
In September, 4 families where children with disabilities are brought up received assistance in paying for rehabilitation and other medical procedures at ICHC:
for Varya MRI and medical research were paid,
Vanya received assistance in paying for EEG research and night sleep monitoring,
for Misha, a rehabilitation course and speech therapy classes were paid,
for Yegor, travel to the place of treatment in Moscow was paid.
Payment for all medical procedures is made as prescribed by the children’s physicians and confirming documents at hand provided. We are glad when help comes on time and wish health to all children!
In early January 2024, a charity Christmas performance with gifts for orphans and children from low-income families of Udmurtia should be held as part of the CHRISTMAS project. Preparations for the production continue: the script is approved, the actors are selected, rehearsals are held regularly. Now we are starting to sew costumes, and we are also starting to buy sweets for the future Christmas gift. We really want to make it as useful and enjoyable as possible for children.
